SSL Daily Chronicle – 20160228 (Day 15) Sun

This is daily SSL Study, for Spanish as a Second Language. I’m transcribing the list of digital two-sided cards into hard-copy index cards.

Reading Spanish is the easiest of writing Spanish and speaking Spanish.  And writing Spanish is easier than speaking Spanish, to me.  I say that because a Spanish conversation involves diphthongs, slang and intended meanings.  But written Spanish is more literal than spoken Spanish.  So I’m doing the easiest of the three first; I’m practicing reading Spanish.  And I’m building my vocabulary, before I start reading Spanish.

SSL Daily Chronicle – 20160223 (Day 12) Tue

—– This is four hours of daily SSL Study, for Spanish as a Second Language.  Some would presuppose the following study is excessive.  But I clearly remember Edna Collier, from IBM MAPICS support, would study after work.

—– She wanted to move herself up and out of the menial customer service position she had.  She worked in one of the two towers of the IBM Atlanta facility tower nicknamed “Riveredge”, off of I-285 at Northside Drive and Riveredge Pkwy.

—– I think she lived the study life of an average IBMer.

—– And every professional I ever met, put in their work hours.  They  put in some sort of study hours after work.  Or they put in Bachelors, Masters or PhD hours after work.  Or they put in professional trade industry hours after work. Or they worked on their own business outside working hours.  So I’m putting in four hours of Spanish as a Second Language, similar to the success habits of Ms. Collier.
